A very VERY VERY overdue painting for the talented *AngELofREbellion. She won this in the contest I hosted a while back & probably figured I had evaporated with it or something; I do very much apologize for the time this took!^^;
Anyway, it was requested I paint something with a winter theme & an angel type person in it; this is what happened. (clearly I was in the mood for glowy stuff and rock too =P)
Is she escaping from the rock,or turning into it? You choose.^__^

Tools: mechanical pencil,paper,micron pens, Corel photopaint10.
Time: Not sure, 30+ for sure.

I love the texture effects you got on the rocks and the clouds and moon look way realistic! You've got a lot of talent and must have put a lot of effort into this pic :heart:

Glowy stuff is nice occasionally! I really like the persepective as being a back view to show off those incredible wings. Beautiful Job!

Oh wow, this is so appealing. The purple is beautiful, well the entire picture is beautiful, love the wings, hair, the rock, the clouds, the little crystals or whatever they are, the moon too. You did an amazing job on it

Wow, this is really gorgeous. I especially love the crysyals growing from the rocks. But it kind of looks like her arms might be too long, compared to how wide her shoulders are.

Gah, beautiful job on the lighting! Lavender and white is always a pleasing combination. The details on the stone are crazy, but I'm used to crazy details from you, hee. I love how even her wings are part stone...I don't think I've seen that done before.
And I like to think she's escaping from the stone. :)

Amazing textures, as usual. (I would love to be able to draw clouds as good as yours.) I can almost feel the icy air. Heh, I wonder if that's snow or falling fragments of crystal... Personally I think she looks too calm (from the back, yes,) to be trying to escape. Maybe she's letting herself be encased. *Ponders this some more*
